The system is that if it is absolutely necessary to use a knife, people take the fork in their left hand, and cut off a piece of meat or whatever it is in the normal manner. Then they put the knife down, transfer the fork to their right hand, and only then do they transport the food to their mouth. This is clearly ludicrous(滑稽可笑), but it is considered good manners.
There are several results of this system. American beer, with very few exceptions, varies from the mediocre(普通的) to the terrible. There are not many types of beer in the US—"light" and "dark" are two terms commonly used.
It is therefore normal to order beer simply by brand name. In a restaurant, in fact, it is quite all right to order "a beer", and they will tell you what they have.
It is not necessary, either, to specify quantity when ordering beer. If it comes in bottles or cans, you will get a bottle or can, and if it's "on tap"(可以隨時取用的) you will get a glass, unless you order a "pitcher"(有嘴和柄的大酒罐 i.e.a jug). The latter is very convenient thing to do, since you can then take the jug and glasses to your table and keep filling up without going back to the bar. (It is harder, however, to know how much you have drunk.)
Some beer comes in bottles with tops that look as if they need an opener, but you can, in fact, screw(擰開) them off by hand—though you have to be very careful not to hurt yourself. [明洞餃子] 暢銷刀削麵
該餐廳開業於1969年,以刀削麵而聞名。只要提起刀削麵,人們便會想起[明洞餃子]。
筋斗的面條配上濃醇的湯汁就是明洞餃子店的刀削麵精華。湯面里還有四個餃子,中間加入雞肉末兒。面湯由雞骨熬煮6小時而成,味道鮮美濃郁,即使只喝湯也讓人滿足。明洞餃子的刀削麵口感柔軟,餃子則用豬肉和韭菜作餡兒。韓國人餐飲中不可或缺的泡菜也是這家店的招牌之一,有些客人甚至專為泡菜而來。

[Ddaro家] 牛肉湯飯
光是看餐廳外面懸掛的招牌上[本店三十六年]的字句,多少就能掂量出餐廳的歷史來。1969年那會兒,一般認為湯飯就是把飯直接放到湯里送上來的東西。而該餐廳卻是飯和湯分開上,因此有了[Ddaro家]的店名Ddaro在韓語里即為單獨、分開之意。當時的牛肉湯飯才100韓元,多年以後的今天,價格已經漲到6,000韓元。
這家店的招牌菜當然是牛肉湯飯!48小時熬煮的大骨頭湯,撒上辣椒粉後爽口不膩。湯里加入入豆芽、豬血和牛肉等配料。
此外,裹上雞蛋的煎餅也是食客喜愛的菜品,種類包括海鮮、西葫蘆、辣椒、韭菜等。 1、貼士:不吃豬血的食客可在點餐時告訴老闆。

[Teumse 拉麵] 傳奇紅雞糕
「XXX,我愛你!」「XX和XX2005年5月8日到此」等紙條貼滿了小店的牆和天花板,讓初到餐廳的客人以為是錯進了某家off line的論壇。 小小的店堂(Teumse在韓語里意為縫隙間,表狹小)看上去更充實,這也正是Teumse拉麵的魅力之一。
1981年開業至今20多年間,專心經營拉麵而獲得大眾喜愛,甚至有人稱其為拉麵老祖。Teumse店的拉麵極辣,面條筋斗,配上雞蛋、豆芽、蔥等佐料,怎一個爽字了得。就是吃慣辣泡菜的韓國人,也是一邊吃一邊流淚。
Teumse點還有一個特點就是獨特的菜單名。例如,招牌的辣味面叫作紅雞糕,是為「(辣)紅」+「雞(蛋)」+(年)糕的組合;一般的飲用水稱為「鴨子坐墊」,因為鴨子浮在水上嘛;餐廳紙叫擦嘴布。這些曾經是店主和熟客間用慣的「暗語」,如今已成為Teumse的專業術語了。菜單上一碗面的價格標注為3萬韓元,實際上只要3千元。第一次去的客人難免會有摸不著頭腦的感覺。其實這些都是Teusem店娛樂食客的招數,呵呵一笑氣氛就出來了。1、貼士:①等面上來的時候看看牆上的小紙條,拍張照片當作紀念也不錯。

[奶奶面條] 爽口面
如今的面條店主已由從前的老人傳給女兒打理。外面看上去和別家麵食店相似,卻又能叫人蜂擁而來排隊的秘訣正在於那鮮美的面條。
奶奶面條開業於1958年,至今一直是明洞最有名的面條店。自製的面條配上小魚和蛤蜊等水產熬制的湯汁,味道鮮美。豆腐面條里的豆腐也是自家製作,清爽可口。
一碗面條下肚,腹中似乎還有點空,因此需要簡單進餐時前往最佳。店主親切的服務態度,真是應了那句賓至如歸的老話,也是面條店的魅力之一。 1、貼士:午餐後晚餐前,腹中需要補給時當小吃充飢。

明洞有不少咖啡廳、冰淇淋店,O』sulloc 以其清爽的綠茶口味可謂在眾家中獨樹一幟。打開菜單,綠茶冰淇淋、綠茶蛋糕、綠茶飲品、綠茶糕點…一切都與綠茶有關。其中,綠茶冰淇淋和綠茶提拉米蘇蛋糕是最受顧客喜愛的食物。寒冷的冬天則最好來一杯溫暖的綠茶卡布奇諾或綠茶拿鐵。
